Message : How well do real T28's perform? I'm talking about remanufactured T28's from Garrett, not the T28's re-marketed by a third party and marked up in price.

There is really no such thing as a T28, it is sort of a marketing term made up by someone for big trim T25's and hybried T3/T25 combinations. As far as I know, the units that come closest to this that you can buy are the S14/S15 Siliva turbo, the Pulsar GTi-R turbo and the JWT Sport 650 and 600.

I don't know about remaunfactured by Garrett ones as Garrett mostly only has Commercial Diesel offerings from its reman division but I suppose some aftermarket donks could claim anything. I would beware of anything claimed to be a T28 because of this, because Ilike I said before, there is really no such thing as a T28.

There is an Isuzu diesel truck turbo that is actualy a GT2530 without ball bearings. I don't know if you can get it reman though.

T28's have a 5-bolt T25 turbine housing that requires some sort of custom downpipe.
